In order to fully understand the poster, you must know the story. On the day, Mel and I went on a photo adventure to a train museum (pictures can be seen here https://myownphotoproject.wordpress.com/2011/12/07/day-3-model-self-portrait/ and here https://myownphotoproject.wordpress.com/2011/12/14/day-10-tiny-truck/). Next to the museum is a set of train tracks, which we walked along for a while. She picked up and kept one railroad spike. Me, being me, picked up 28, which now live in the trunk of my car because I don’t know what to do with them. Anyway, here is a Facebook conversation we had which inspired the poster.
